Here’s a little bit about me. I’ve been fascinated with photography for most of my life. At the age of 13, my parents converted our basement bathroom into a darkroom. Capturing life through the lens has been a passion ever since. Nine years ago I took a professional photography cruise to Alaska led by the head photographer for Outdoors Magazine. At the end of the cruise he pulled me aside and told me that I took better photos than all the others taking the cruise. It was the nicest compliment I’ve ever gotten from someone who knew what they were talking about. This affirmation became my impulse to teach smartphone photography here in San Miguel de Allende.
For years I have worked in creative industries. I was Curator of Geppi’s Comic Book-Pop Culture and Entertainment Museum for five years which led to me producing numerous independent comic books. I am a magician who loves card tricks and having an audience to bedazzle.
My love of Pop Culture and Music led me to become an expert on The Beatles. I have taught classes on the History of The Beatles through rare audio and video clips, at renowned teaching institutions and created a Beatles rarities podcast that ran for over eleven years on an internet station called Beatles-A-Rama.
I can’t leave out my love for good cuisine. I graduated from the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts and went on to work at The Breakers, a 5-Star resort in Palm Beach, Florida. During this time I found that I loved hosting events more than cooking for them, which led me to form my own Culinary Events business, SMA ADVENTURE HOUND in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
I arrived in San Miguel on Valentine’s Day 2020 and have loved living here ever since. This magical pueblo has become my chosen and permanent home.
Both SMA Adventure Hound culinary events and my photography classes provide me with great opportunities to share my experiences and professional background with all the new friends I make every week.
