Hi, It’s Michael.
Welcome To SMA Adventure Hound!

I’m thrilled to call San Miguel my home and am constantly in search of new adventures around town. As I find them, I would love to share them with you! For several years I have been hosting, with other groups, culinary events around town; dinners, brunches and movie nights.

During this time I have met some truly exceptional people while sharing the joy of San Miguel’s varied and excellent cuisine. But now, with the encouragement of my amazing friends, I’ve decided to go solo and offer my own exciting SMA foodie escapades!

SMA Adventure Hound Meetups

That’s my motto and the mission of SMA Adventure Hound meetups. Come join us for a fun and relaxed meal, it’s a great way to meet new folks, find new friends and enjoy the epicurean delights this town has to offer! All are welcome!

Every week I’ll be selecting a special restaurant in town where we can share a new adventure. There is never a cover charge and the only thing I ask of everybody who attends is to show up hungry, have a great time… and consider a small cash donation which will be donated to various local SMA pet rescue organizations, a cause near and dear to my heart!

Don’t like big crowds? I’m planning on keeping our experience intimate so will limit each event to about 10-20 people.

How It Works

Every Thursday at 9am I announce a new venue. A few hours later, I announce it on 20 more sites.
Members of SMAAH get a two hour advance notice to pre-book!

I Book On An RSVP BASIS ONLY.

People at the event the night before hear about upcoming events and get first pick.

I am open to try any restaurant in town and it may be for a breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, drink or special catered event.

I select places based on suggestions from friends, ideas from our site, reviews from numerous local Facebook pages and websites.

Personal preference and we also get invitations from established and up and coming local chefs.

I personally try out every restaurant before I plan an event there, looking at numerous factors that help to make an event great:

Food quality, taste and selection
Alcohol availability
Quality and timeliness of service
Atmosphere
And ability to handle a 10-20 person group
